There are three distinct ways to meet this requirement: • A state registration card/document or series of cards/documents that shows continuous registration of the trade-in vehicle in the name of the purchaser for the last 12 months. • A current state registration card/document in the name of the purchaser AND a title in the name of the purchaser showing ownership of the trade-in for the last 12 months.
