Are there different types of Voodoo?
Absolutely. Voodoo in Africa will be different from that in Haiti, and Haitian Voodoo will be different from that in Louisiana. Not only does Voodoo vary by geographical location, but Voodoo will vary depending on the family of Houngans! Two neighbors might practice Voodoo in very different ways. However, what is important is experience. No one type is better than the next, but the skill of the Houngan is the most important thing. This is because all types of Voodoo still call on the same Loas and use the same energies.
