Are there different kinds of Witches?

Yes. Just as there are Catholics, Baptists, Presbyterians, Russian Orthodox, Quaker, Pentecostal, and many other sects of Christianity and there are Conservative, Reform and Hassidic Jews, and Shiite, Fundamentalist, and liberal Muslims, Witches belong to dozens of different sects, which we call “Traditions.” Just to name a few, there are: New Reformed Order of the Golden Dawn; Gardnerian; Faery; Celtic. The Reclaiming Tradition is a feminist and relatively non-hierarchical tradition which began on the West Coast of California. [For more information, go to our “About Reclaiming” page for two articles on Reclaiming Tradition history.
