Are there different kinds of eye problems that can cause vision loss?
(from Dr. Marci Wolfe) Many medical problems can affect the health of the eyes and potentially lead to vision loss. There can be problems with central vision or with peripheral vision. There can be focusing problems or accommodation problems just to mention a few things. And of course we commonly see the vision problems of near-sightedness (Myopia), far-sightedness (Hyperopia) and astigmatism for which corrective lenses help.
