Are there different installers for the “FileHold Desktop Application” and the Integration with the MS Office Application Suite?
The FileHold Client installer includes both the FileHold Desktop Application and MS Office 2003 Integration. The Desktop Application needs to be logged on and running when using the MS Office integration components which take the form of both Office toolbar and Office File Menu integration. We support Visio, Outlook, Word, Excel and PowerPoint 2003 Editions. We require Office 2003 to be fully updated and patched from http://officeupdate.microsoft.com Please tell me more info about how Outlook integration works and choices that employees make to add emails and/or attachments to FileHold The FileHold office integration sends the email and attachment to the FileHold repository using web services. We use SMTP on the FileHold server only for sending out alerts, reminders, email notifications or copies of documents, your email server then delivers these messages. An email and its attachment is sent directly to the FileHold Repository.
