Are there different grades of siding?
. The most common difference in grades is based on thickness of the panel itself. The thicker the panel, the more premium it is often considered. More vinyl generally (not always) equates to a stiffer panel that will hang straighter, lock tighter, and be more impact resistant. Panel design is a crucial factor as well as thickness. There are other differences in siding as well, such as color selection and availability, styles and profiles & warranties.
