Are there different flavors of Windows XP?
• Windows XP comes in two flavors, Professional and Home. Professional is for use in businesses and for power users, and will supercede the current Windows 2000 Professional product. Professional will offer some higher-end functionality that is suitable for corporations and businesses, where the PC is an essential tool. The Home edition supercedes Windows Me as the operating system of choice for the home. This version of the operating system has great features to make the PC an essential part of home life; for example, multiple users and fast user switching, and support for digital media. Are there Server versions of Windows XP? • Windows XP only refers to the Client versions of the new Windows operating system. Server versions based on the same platform will be made available at a later date but will not carry the XP naming. What does XP stand for? • XP denotes eXPerience. One of the focuses for this release of Windows is providing a great end-to-end experience for the user, such as a
