Yes, there are two editions of ActiveMerchant; Standard and Enterprise. ActiveMerchant Enterprise is a robust merchant authentication system capable of handling large transaction volumes. It is best suited for large Internet merchants, Acquirers, Internet Payment Gateways and Third Party Processors. ActiveMerchant Enterprise can be run as a standalone application or within a managed service or payment gateway environment providing 3-D Secure functionality to multiple merchants simultaneously.
