Yes there are. OpenStep for Mach will include all the well known features from NEXTSTEP (Services, Filters, SoundKit, …) which the other implementations will lack, due to the underlying OS. To get all the benefits which is offered in NEXTSTEP today, you need to go for OpenStep for Mach. 2.9 What information is available by NeXT information NeXT NeXT, Inc. now operates an automatic e-mail response system.
