Are there degrees in the content of insults?
I want to believe that adding a sexual element to an insult that previously didn’t contain such an element can take the insult’s offensiveness to a higher and more hurtful level. I’m not into religion (or religious icons) so let me use people to more easily allow giving you an example of how this can happen. And to help give this example more of a emotional punch, please let the perpetrator be me, and the victim be you. It’s you and me babe, and I’m laying it on you without restraint. At LEVEL ONE, imagine for a moment that I insulted your intelligence. Let’s say that you are a very attractive woman, but that I tell you in private that the only way you can retain a man’s attention for even a small amount of time is to flaunt your body, bat your eyelashes, and pretty much keep your mouth shut, because if you try to engage in more than the most casual conversation, most men will soon identify you as being so ignorant as to not want to be seen in your company.
