Are there conflicting resolutions that will result in “green lighted” resolutions being pulled from the omnibus motion at the 2010 BGM?

Yes. There are, at minimum, two examples of conflicting resolutions. The major one that most Greens, and most politically aware Canadians, will be watching are the resolutions around the leadership of the Green Party. There are two resolutions that are somewhat conflicting and will necessitate the need for a “green lighted” resolution to go to workshop. G10-c29, the resolution to make the leadership term an indefinite one, was “green lighted” with 74% support of the voting membership. However, G10-c12, which gives the GPC’s Federal Council the power to extend the term of the Leader up to one year, was NOT “red lighted” and thus will have to be debated in workshop. The problem lies in that how do you extend an indefinite term by one year. This is why one or both may have to be workshopped.
