Are there compatibility issues between some versions of T4A and Mapsource v 6.15.11 and when loading the new Garmap Africa Series 2009 cd?
T4A versions 8.02 and earlier are incompatible with MapSource v 6.15.11 and are unable to run on it. This problem was caused by the new way MapSource renders the maps and this was fixed in T4A v8.06. This version 8.06 and all later releases will be compatible with MapSource v 6.15.11. Users of earlier versions of T4A will have to use MapSource v6.13.7 until such time as they upgrade to a compatible release of T4A. MapSource v6.13.7 can be downloaded from the internet by clicking on the following link: http://www.tramsoft.ch/gps/garmin_mapsource-software-upgrades_en.html#V06137 Once this has been installed earlier versions of T4A will function properly. T4A v8.06 is however still fully compatible with Mapsource v6.13.7 and earlier versions. If you have installed the Garmap Africa Series 2009 cd and do have the v8.06 and v8.10 map on your PC which SHOULD work and still have problems opening Mapsource then you’ll have to check your computer’s hard drive to check whether you still have old
