Are there classes that actually focus on event planning/managing?

The great thing about this program is that you are able to tailor your studies around the field in which you wish to work in the entertainment industry. Every EM major is required to take MGT 310 (Intro to the entertainment industry), and that class focuses on all four areas of the EM program (sports, music, venues, and events). There will be a section dedicated entirely to event planning, but all the work you doeven while discussing the other areaswill be focused around your area of interest. For example, you have the option of doing news summaries on current event management articles, how-to guides on event planning, or a review of a book on event management. You will also have to do a career profile on an event planning professional, as well as present a seminar to the class on an aspect of event planning. You will be required
