Are there circumstances in which the Architectural Technologist will manage the Building Contract?
A14 – There are several types of building contract which provide for a named person (usually, your Architectural Technologist) to perform the role of “Contract Administrator”. The building contract gives certain powers to that person to regulate the mutual rights and obligations and issue instructions between you and your builder. In exercising those powers and functions as Contract Administrator, the law requires your Architectural Technologist to act fairly and impartially.
