Youth activities are directed and organized by a special staff of youth counselors. Youth counselors have a formal education in Recreation, Education, Child Development, or related fields. In addition, youth counselors have experience working with large groups of children ages 3-17 years in school/community-sponsored youth programs or summer camps. Youth counselors hold certifications in CPR and some speak Spanish, French, German, Italian, or Portuguese. Celebrity Eclipse has four youth counselors plus one manager year-round. During holiday sailings, Celebrity ships carry 8-12 youth counselors (this number varies).
