A lot of it depends on the event itself as well as the country in which the competition takes place. The traditional colors in the USA are as follows – 1st – Blue 2nd – Red 3rd – Yellow 4th – White 5th – Pink 6th – Green 7th – Purple 8th – Brown 9th – Gray 10th – Light Blue However, this can be different for different types of competitions. For instance the American Kennel Club uses different colors. Also, there are different traditions in different countries. For example, Canada traditionally uses a red ribbon for first place, blue for second, and white for third.
