Are there awards, scholarships, certificates, and recommendations available if I go beyond the minimum 45 hour requirement?
Awards: At the end of the year Awards banquet, an Outstanding Community Service Learning Award is given to students who have given countless hours to their community by helping others. A Spirit of Community Service Learning Award is given to students that have the pure desire to help others who are less fortunate. This award comes from within one’s self. Scholarships: During your Junior year, you will be filling out applications for colleges and will begin looking for scholarships, which equals free college money. There are scholarships available for community service learning hours. We are able to help you locate the information to begin your financial aid in the Career Center.
