Are there any websites that are not valid competitor sites for BRG claims?

A few. All “U.S.-based” competitor websites ARE valid for BRG claims, assuming that the rates you are viewing are available to the general public. “Internationally-based” sites are not valid. Venere.com would be one example of a website which is NOT valid in the BRG.

Very few. All “English-Language” competitor websites ARE valid for BRG claims, assuming that the rates you are viewing are available to the general public. “Internationally-based” sites were previously invalid for the Expedia BRG, but as of now, they are accepted as long as they are in English. (Update 4/3/10): Some (but not all) readers continue to receive rejections using the internationally-based websites as competitor sites with the lower room rate. Easytobook.com is an example of a recently-confirmed rejection. Booking.com (Amsterdam-based) has had mixed results. Until we receive firm confirmation as to which sites are valid and which are not, we suggest sticking with U.S.-based ones for now. These include the BRGs we post daily.
