CoQ10 can be an effective adjunctive or alternative treatment for hypertension. The intake of CoQ10 in combination with a medication for hypertension is safe. There is no known interaction with these medications or other medications. After a personal and medical follow up, your health care practitioner and you may chose to reduce your medication due to the natural beneficial effects of CoQ10. Results involving the intake of blood thinners in combination with CoQ10 are non conclusive. Some patients have experienced a reduction in the effect of Warfarin or Coumadin and a return to normal following the interruption of CoQ10 and other patients experienced no effect.
