Are there any vocal performance majors out there?
I am a voice teacher and started my Bachelor’s degree as a vocal performance major. However, I later changed it to Music Ed with an emphasis in voice and decided to pursue the vocal performance degree in my Master’s program. I am very happy I made that decision, because you can not teach in a school with just a performance Bachelor’s. As a V.P major you would take theory and history, piano, voice literature, diction, and a couple of years of languages.Life is a practice room and HOURS of listening to the Diva’s so that you can know what you are working toward.
