Are there any types of tarantulas in the United States that are ok for people to eat?
Pretty much all tarantulas in the US are edible, just make sure you remove the fangs and sac.
Warning: Many times spiders consume other venomous creatures such as poisonous bugs, lizards, toads, etc. This means that the poison will be in the spider’s body as well and should not be consumed.
To play it safe, don’t eat them unless you have an expert with you who can determine if it is safe to eat.
