Are there any types of angel fish that wont eat small tetras ?
No. Although I have read that angels will sometimes ignore the tetras if they are raised with them from when they are small. Edit: expanding on what fish guy said, all angels in the hobby come from one of two species. P. Scalare and P. Altum. Most of the angels you come across are Scalare. In my opinion, the production of different strains of angels is one area where the hobby has taken a beautiful fish, and completely ruined it. While I find the wild type silver scarlare to be extremely beautiful, I think many of the hobby strains such as koi angels are hideous. Additionally, if you want to breed your angels at some point, I’ld try to go with wild caught as they exhibit more natural behaviors ie. protecting their eggs instead of eating them. Parental egg cannibalism is the result of the breeding methods of commercial fish farms which remove the parents from the eggs as soon as the spawning is complete so they can be rapidly conditioned to mate again. This prevents natural selection fr
