All sports have inherent injury risks peculiar to the sport. Pain is the bodys way of telling us we are doing damage to ourselves and need to either stop or change what we are doing. Any sore area or little niggle should not be ignored they generally deteriorate rather than get better. Early diagnosis and treatment is far better than trying to treat a long standing injury and is likely to resolve much more quickly.
