Are there any taxes on ticket orders through TL?
Sometimes, yes…. Unfortunately, entertainment taxes are very vague, very amorphous, and very sporadic in their application and their reach. This means that our system doesn’t automatically calculate additional taxes that may apply to ticket orders through TL. So, if you see an unknown addition to your bank statement, it’s probably Uncle Sam stepping in to take his share. Fortunately, though, it’s also true that the vast majority of ticket purchases through us are not subject top any taxes. Essentially, the likelihood that you’ll be taxed is dependent on the location of the ticket seller from whom you’re purchasing. (Ticket sellers based in Texas are the unluckiest lot and – guaranteed – you’ll be taxed if you purchase from them). However, aside from that, and a few other localities, the taxe issue is not something most customers have to worry about.
