A. There are no separate supplemental instructions for the new (Type 1) or competing renewal (Type 2) applications. Applicants should follow the instructions in the RISE Program Announcement. For noncompeting continuation applications (Type 5) applicants must follow the PHS 2590 instructions (forms and instructions are available at http://grants.nih.gov/grants/forms.htm) and the guidelines suggested in the RISE Supplemental Instructions.
