Are there any Summer work programs in the U.S. for British Citizens?
It might be too late for this summer, but each summer our beach and entertainment resorts are swamped with Irish, British and European college goers. Places like Atlantic City NJ, Ocean City, MD, Myrtle Beach, Dollywood, and the Florida resort towns hire European kids to work as life guards and work in the shops and restaurants. Has something to with school scheduling. Ours seem to start the autumn session earlier than those in Europe, so they hire the Euros so they have staff through the end of August and into September.
