Are there any substantial differences inherent in living in the Southern Hemisphere, as opposed to Northern?
Life is pretty much the same wherever you live. The big changes are: 1.) Your seasons are wrong – It is almost midsummer and I am sitting at my PC wearing a pair of shorts sweating gently. I can see on tv that everyone is freezing in the northern hemisphere. Carols that mention snow are pretty funny in mid summer. I also see that all the American sitcom actors are trudging through snow. Most of the Northern hemisphere festivals are around the time of the solstices and equinoxes so your harvest festivals are our first planting times. Hallmark gets very confused. 2.) We look North to the zodiac, the moon and the sun where you northerners look South. Some big shot solar panel guys installed a solar array in Australia and pointed it South (away from the sun). You can tell waxing and waning of the moon by Cs and Ds, it is the other way around for us. We also see different constellations to what you do.
