A $450 a year Regents Award is available to certain children of disabled veterans who are attending college in New York State. The veteran must be a current resident of the State and have a VA disability rating of 40-percent or greater. The Regents Award also is available to children of veterans killed during wartime or listed as missing in action, and to children of veterans who were prisoners of war. Applications for the Regents Award can be obtained by contacting: New York State Higher Education Services Corporation, 99 Washington Avenue, Albany, NY 12255.
