Are there any state agencies that govern Homeowners Associations?
The Arizona Department of Building, Fire, and Life Safety has authority to resolve disputes between homeowners and Homeowners Associations. These administrative procedures do not limit the rights of the parties to pursue matters in the legal system, but provides an alternative. This legislation became law on September 21, 2006.
