Are there any specific reasons that trigger the development of avascular necrosis?
One of the most commonly encountered reasons for occurrence of the symptom is use of cortisone. Cortisone can be used for very different reasons. The complication is also seen in alcohol users. The reason behind it is blockage of veins going to this area, just as in a heart infarct. Alcohol has a trigger effect on this process. It can also be seen in divers and patients with liver deficiency. Traumas can also be a triggering factor. The reason might be a hip fracture causing a malfunction with local blood flow; on the other hand it can develop after artery/vein damage following a hip dislocation. Sometimes, we cannot determine a specific cause at all. The group with no specific reasoning is most common and in medical terms we call this idiopathic. Pain for these patients usually comes suddenly, most closely defined as a knife stab. Patients come to us if pain prolongs for more than a few days. Compared to females, males are 5-8 times more prone avascular necrosis. What part of the body
