• A July 2009 article in the Reading Eagle reported on a Berks County PA motorcycle accident involving Amity Twp. Supervisor Richard L. Gohey. • Mr. Gohey lost control of his motorcycle trying to avoid a truck that had turned right in front of him. • He went over the handlebars, landing on the road. The cyclist credits his helmet with saving his life as his doctors said the helmet prevented severe if not lethal head injuries.
