Are there any special training requirements for e-filing?
No. There are no training requirements, but the Court strongly recommends that all e-filers review the CM/ECF Appellate training presentations posted in the Help and Training Section of the main BAP ECF and PACER Information webpage located at https://ecf.ca10.uscourts.gov/bap_pacer_information.html. • Is there any charge to register or use CM/ECF Appellate? There is no charge to register for CM/ECF Appellate. When you access documents through your PACER account, you are subject to the standard per page PACER charge. All parties that receive electronic service receive one free look at all documents included in Notices of Docket Activity (NDAs). We suggest that you print or download the documents at that time. • When is CM/ECF Appellate available for e-filing? The system is always available (except for routine or emergency maintenance), and you should be able to file anytime. E-filers will receive advance notice of scheduled outages, and such outages will be posted on the BAP’s website
