Are there any special precautions that should be exercised when printing UV/ULTRA® II Paper?
A. The ink used for UV/ULTRA® II Translucent Printing Papers should be formulated to dry by oxidation. UV/ULTRA® II Papers should be run in small lifts (about 200-250 sheets). The sheets should be winded before and after printing. With all uncoated paper, you should anticipate minor differences between the two sides of the sheet with respect to ink penetration and drying. Large solid areas would be best printed on a press with UV dryers. Also, proper attention must be paid to tack sequence in order to provide proper trapping of colors.
