Are there any special machine modifications required?
A. It depends on how the customer is using DocuCard. Because of the uneven stack height, about 100 sheets can be placed in the feed tray at one time. Exit bins have a capacity of about 150 cards using the 4135. If the application includes putting both a policy and a DocuCard page at the beginning or end of the document, the plain paper can be fed from tray 1 or 2 and the DocuCard document from tray 3 or 4. This allows the customer to print for quite some time. If the customer is printing only DocuCards, the Custom Application Services group has designed a special feed tray modification called a Tiltatron. The Tiltatron allows the customer to put about 350 sheets in each of the feed trays, enabling longer print runs. A Stackatron is available for use in high volume printers to maximize output.
