Are there any special grounding considerations for the Mini-ACE™?
A. In the original ACE, the analog (transceiver) and digital grounds are not connected together inside the hybrid. In the Mini-ACE™, as a means of reducing the effects of ground bounce, these grounds are connected together inside the hybrid. Basically however, the same rules apply: when transmitting, the large ground currents flow through the transformer (primary) center tap, not through the hybrid ground pins.
