As with all other medications, Intrinsa too has certain side effects. However these side effects vary from person to person and may or may not appear for everyone. Tell your doctor immediately if you experience any of the following side effects: hair loss, enlargement of the clitoris, an increase in the amount of hair on the chin or upper lip, deepening or hoarseness of voice. These side effects are usually reversible if Intrinsa treatment is discontinued. They generally occur because testosterone is a male sex hormone and development of male characteristics could be an adverse reaction.
