Are there any side effects to gene therapy for cystic fibrosis?

Well the first patient to undergo gene therapy for CF in the United States died as a result so I guess that was a serious side effect. However, researchers are plugging away to perfect this therapy (I have a relative involved in this) and eventually it will become commonplace and successful.
