All Thomson Prometric computer systems are safeguarded with numerous firewalls. The examination information is encrypted when sent to the site from the Data Center, housed at the corporate office in Baltimore, Maryland. The contents of the test package cannot be accessed without an eligibility triggering the launch of the examination. Only authorized Prometric staff are able to launch an examination on a workstation and these individuals must use an eligibility file that is made available by Thomson Prometric.
