Are there any risks or dangers in Liposurgery?
Like any other surgical operation, liposurgery also carries usual or “standard risk” depending upon the extent of surgery, type of anaesthesia- local or general and the health and any complicating medical diseases like diabetes, B.P. etc that the subject may be suffering. Proper evaluation and investigations and tests are done as in any other operation. In patients who undergo extensive liuposuction, rarely there may be a need for blood transfusion.
