Are there any restrictions on accessing stock water?

0

Yes. It is important that water is used as efficiently as possible and that wastage is minimised. For taking stock water, either under an access licence or as part of your basic landholder rights, you are required to take water through a pipe and to a trough. You are not permitted to direct water for stock watering through an earth channel or to an earth dam. You are not permitted to take water using a water pump with an inlet diameter that is greater than 50mm, and the total volume of water that can be taken for stock watering purposes is restricted to 3 megalitres per water year.
