Hongkong Post does NOT keep copy of the private key. The floppy disk containing the Bank-Cert and the key pair is protected by a 16-digit PIN which is separately handed-over to the subscribers at the time of application. This PIN will also be required when importing the Bank-Cert into the Internet browser by the subscriber.
