Are there any programs to help child victims going through the court process?
Child victim/witness programs currently operate in London, Toronto, Waterloo Region, Peel and Ottawa. These programs are being expanded to every region of the province. After charges are laid, these programs provide free services that support and help children through each stage of the court process. This includes accompanying children into the courtroom. They work closely with Victim/Witness Assistance Program staff to provide the best possible assistance to children in the court process.
