A study conducted in the Netherlands found an increased risk of hypospadius in grandsons of mothers who took DES during their pregnancy (i.e., sons of mothers or fathers who were exposed to DES in utero), however this study had limitations. We are currently studying this issue and should have additional information within the next year. We are studying also the daughters of daughters exposed to DES in utero. Results of this study should be available in the next year or two.
