Yes, CGS 1000 Intro to Computers is a pre-requesite to the first course CET 1600 Cisco Networking Fundamentals. It is also recommended that you have some general knowledge or experience working with web browsers on personal computers (i.e, Internet Explorer and/or Netscape). It would also help to have an understanding of command-line operating systems such as DOS (CGS 1560 DOS 1 and CGS 2561 DOS 2) and UNIX CGS 1760. In addition, the more general knowlege of computers and networks that you have, may preclude you from having to put in additional time to understand some of the concepts presented in these classes.
