The only real hitch that concerns us is an air leak in either the diesel or the veggie fuel line. What this results in as poor performance of the engine and frequent stalling if it the air leak is a large one. To combat this potential problem we employ the following techniques. First is that we use clear fuel lines so that it is easy to track the air leak and fix it. Second is that we always install a veggie oil return line. This allows the engine to purge itself of any air that might have leaked into the system. This also allows the engine to function normally with a small air leak further down the road should something happen. The diesel engine is designed to have a return line to the diesel tank to cycle warm fuel back to the tank and to allow air to escape. It is our goal to modify the engine only what is absolutely necessary to make it run on vegetable oil and nothing more. By installing a return line we restore the engine back to its original design parameters.
