Are there any places in Florida that are safer from hurricanes than others?
Over the years the overall lowest, though not low, risk for Florida has been along the upper gulf coast of Florida. The year to year risk is still not insignificant there, but a somewhat fewer number of landfalls have occurred there as opposed to southern and eastern Florida.
