ARE THERE ANY PHYSICAL LIMITATIONS OF BELLYDANCE?
It has been my experience through 30 years of teaching, that using the body for bellydance has only favorable side effects……correct posture makes a big difference, as does alignment, in the potential benefits. When someone is concerned, or has been in an injury, I always advise them to make the movements very small and slower, so that you are always “Moving at the speed of Delight”. In other words, it’s natural for this dance to feel good to us and it’s not necessary to push anything. You may wish to ask your doctor about it.
