Are there any other plants, apart from tobacco, that can cause cancer, or any other terminal illness?
Besides the obvious like smoking something other than tobacco, yes, many plants are considered either poisonous, carcinogens or can make you violently ill. Sassafras’s root is one I found out about. I have this book on how to survive in the wilderness and different foods you can find in the forest. Once was using sassafras root to make a tea. I actually did this, but also have a book on dangerous wild foods. Sassafras is a carcinogen. I had no idea. No more of that tea for me. Many plants are poisonous or can make you ill, but on the other hand, they also have healing properties. Only a scientist would know for sure and that’s why test and research is being done on a lot of plants, bugs etc.There are just to many to write, but if you put it in a web site, you will find wild edible plants. Or wild carcinogens. Easy, try it.
