Are there any other cities easily accessible that I could visit while in London, UK?
Though Nibblits doubtless means well, I am happy to report that he is mistaken. I’m currently on a tear answering questions about the UK, having just detailed info on the Tube for another asker. Long story short. I’m American. Lived in the UK for 3 years and moved back to the USA 2 years ago. While there I entertained many visitors and I can tell you that if you plan ahead of time, and well, you can see TONS in that amount of time and visiting one or two other cities is completely doable. But it’s all on YOU. The tips I can offer you for getting places far away for cheap, and doing it fast are these: 1)Discount Airlines –Ryan Air –Easyjet These carriers often listed flights to France, Ireland, Scotland, Germany, etc for One Pound Sterling plus airport fees. I traveled from Stansted to Glasgow in 50 minutes for about 45 bucks while living there and the dollar was almost as weak then as it is now. 2)Using an airport other than Heathrow as your hub for city-to-city travel. –Gatwick –L
