Are there any other bubble eye fish besides goldfish?
Yes, there are. But none of them are recognized as separate breeds. “Frog Head” and “Toad Head” varieties were bred briefly, but they are not recognized as separate breeds by most people. And I’ve never seen them sold even by mail order (though I have seen them in youtube videos, so someone somewhere has one). On the website link below there is a picture of so-called “double bubble” Bubble-eye goldfish. But the fish in that picture have dorsal fins, and real Bubble eyes don’t. So if you come across any other fish with bubbles, it is basically a mutt (or a “sport variety”, which is what goldfish mutts are euphemistically referred to in breeder circles). You may come across some in pet stores. They still make good pets, but they are not recognized as a purebreed like Bubble Eyes are.
